Today was your typical Summer day and it was glorious.
Here is a sneak peak of what we were up to:
Starting my day off with Coffee & Jesus Calling:
Breakfast time! Luke loves helping with things, especially carrying his plate to the table (and putting things away)
Can't believe he will be TWO in a month!
Watering my garden this morning....my tomatoes are turning red! So exciting!
Swim team for the girls. Luke is such a trooper going to their practices each day. He just wants to swim with them (Thank goodness for pool fences!)
After swim practice, we headed to the Sprint store because I needed to get a new phone. My old iPhone was almost 2 years old and the battery would only last an hour. I had to constanstly keep it plugged in & charging. So annoying! We were eligible for new phones, so we both got the 5s. My kids were troopers & were at the store for almost 2 hours with me!
We went to Panera after the Sprint store for lunch, the girls were begging for Cinnamon crunch bagels. I got my favorite....Thai Chicken Salad.
Got home & it was time for Luke's nap, so that meant it was pool time for the girls & reading time for me!
Finished it tonight. Starting Allegiant tomorrow! Have you read this series?

Dinner Prep. Chopping up Squash & Zucchini that I picked this morning.
Time to drag eveyone out of the pool...It's Dinnertime!
Tri Tip, Roasted Veggies, Cantelope & Blueberries and of course wine. Always wine.
It was a great summer day. I just love the lazy dog days of summer.

five on friday lets flamingle!

I'm SO excited for tomorrow! today is full..and you can probably find me in full party mode + running like a chicken with me head cut off! my parents and brother will be in town this weekend- the first birthday party they have ever attended for one of my kids, so thats a new milestone for all of us and I'm excited to have them here!
here are a few ..err five favorites for this summer birthday party!
ya'll. I don't know what I would do without this gal. Amy and I have been working together for the last couple years and I can't express my gratitude towards her creative brain when it comes to making these parties come to life! I pretty much come up with an idea, throw a few things out there (theme + color, etc.) and she does the rest. I literally have no idea what the decor is going to look like until it hits my doorstep! opening her big box of goodies is actually like Christmas morning anticipation. and she never ever disappoints!

I've been following Veronica for over four years on social media, back when she was making amazing cakes for a living and since then she's created a huge impression on the small shop world with her sparkle bows and poolside wraps! we have about a billion to our name, and when I asked V to make Baker and the twins some special head wraps for the party she suggested all our little friends get one as well! yaas! she was gracious and even sending me pictures of fabric options for the perfect wrap for the party. I about fell over when her package came along with these ADORable gift boxes for each little gal at the party. Veronica is literally among my most favorite people on the planet and I am so thankful for her!

three. custom invitations
for all things party, Sarah of CKFireboots delivers! we've worked together since the twins first birthday and have gotten to the point of me sharing ideas and a little bit of inspo and she takes off and creates the most amazing party invites and printables! I usually have her print my invitations for me, but when it comes to food tents and prints I take the digital file and have them printed at Office Max or some place similar. Baker's party invitation this year is MY FAVORITE EVER.
four. lovey lake
lets talk about how sweet this little peplum top and bloomers from lovey lake!! when I saw them on her instagram I immediately HAD to have them for the celebration! flamingo everything!

..always with the baby dolls! her BB got her a new baby for her birthday and it hasn't left her arms since!

five. BBQ food = the best food!
we're sticking to the basics for Baker's BBQ bash and making hamburgs and hot dogs on the grills.. a variety of chips and a couple of yummy side dishes to round out the meal! this caesar pasta salad recipe looks phenom, and if you know me you know I love a good caesar salad! we will also have a couple options for chip dipping' with a Mexican street corn salad and the easy peasy homemade salsa.
OF COURSE there will be cake and cookies for dessert and maybe a special appearance for a frozen treat!
SO excited to celebrate miss Baker tomorrow. after the chaos of life these last several weeks we need some fun. I appreciate everyone's support, love, and prayer regarding Jolie and while there isn't a ton of new information I plan to share a little update next week:)

five on friday
one. eighty-seven
this February weather is insane, ya'll. it was 87 degrees yesterday and has been a perfect 75 all week long! not that I'm completely ready for the summer and the Texas heat that goes along with it, but we have basically bypassed winter and walked straight into spring over here.
we've been spending a ton of time outside and enjoying our afternoons when the weather is just right. we met britt and her family for burgers and fries for dinner this week- I feel like this needs to be a weekly thing and the weather needs to stay. not to mention.. the sheet pan of garlic parmesan fries.
two. good friends
the big girls went on an Auntie + Uncle J date last weekend and they had THE best time complete with mint chocolate chip ice cream and dirty knees from hard core park play. I always appreciate the relationship my girls have with them! and they are still talking about their time spent with those two a week later.
three. it is finished
..and we are waiting patiently for you sweet boy! Sarah created the sweetest name sign for Brady's nursery to hang over his crib and delivered it this week. I'm doing a canvas wall of his hospital pictures along with this sign, so it wont officially be finished until after he's born, but everything else is in its place! this girl has some crafty talent and I'm so proud of her for it!

four. box cars
the theme last week at preschool was "transportation" and we got a letter home a couple weeks ago about drive in movie day along with instructions on making homemade box cars to bring for that day, too. these were SO FUN to make and the girls loved picking out their decorations (thank you Target dollar spot!) and choosing their own wrapping paper to cover their box in (I was solo and didn't want to mess with the paint and wrangle three toddlers). I asked the produce guy at Target if he had any empty apple boxes and he happily handed a couple over!
I had been wracking my brain for three days about where to find an apple box (what's an apple box!?) and I could have jumped for joy when he walked out with them!
Jolie kept hugging me every 5 minutes while I was hot gluing her wheels and cutting out her name letters. Jo is all about the little details and I absolutely love her for it. no matter how raw my finger tips are today from all that hot glue. worth it.
five. baby boy love
so much love is being showered over this boy! I am so thankful for how amazing some of my favorite small shops are as the care packages trickle in
six. because.. she's too good.
..lastly, for good measure and to carry us into the weekend
AND because she just makes our life so much brighter.

It's the first 10 on 10 for 2015! And, it fell on a Saturday!
We had no plans on Saturday morning, so it was a nice lazy morning.
I made a pancake breakfast with bacon of course!
Not just any kind of bacon....BROWN SUGAR BACON!!!!!

Luke got a Train tent for Christmas & all 3 of them love to run around the house shouting "Choo Choo"
Checking out our tree in our garden....it's producing for the first time! These are "cutie" oranges. So delicious!
I spent some time getting organized for Kate's 8th birthday that is coming up in 2 weeks! Her birthday always sneaks up on me because it's less than a month after Christmas. Love the theme she picked. It should be a fun party!
Kevin is building me some shelves for one of our closets, so since it was such a nice sunny day (65 degrees!) I put on the first layer of paint:
Then, Kate had a horse back riding birthday party, so her and I went to that. So gorgeous!!!!!
Ran a few errands....Kevin needs some new vans.
We headed to Saturday night church. I love that our church has a Saturday night service. Sometimes it's nice to go on Saturday nights instead of Sunday mornings!
For dinner I made Pepperoni Calzones! This is one of my go-to recipes...I need to blog it!

my goal for this month:

one. double take
we got to see Brady twice this week! early in my pregnancy while waiting to get in to see my OB I bought a package at a place near my house that does 4D sonograms only. this week we got to see how much those chubby cheeks have changed and I am so in LOVEE! his lips and his nose look exactly like is sisters and ya'll he has a FULL head of hair. we could see it floating around in there, which doesn't surprise because Parker, Jolie, and Baker all had lots when they were born..
we also went to the perinatologist to check on baby boy's kidneys as well monitor my amniotic fluid. being diagnosed with polyhydramnios and Brady having a kink in his left kidney I'm in the high risk category for pregnancy and so we get the benefit of seeing him pretty often.
GREAT news is that, for the first time in my pregnancy, my fluid levels are relatively normal! my belly size hasn't changed much over the last couple weeks so I was hopeful this was a sign that I was finally leveling out a bit. the fluid around Brady's kidney is in fact slightly elevated, but the talk of early delivery is off the table- yes!! she does want me to come back one more time and to start going to my OB weekly.
I officially have 6 weeks left of cooking this baby boy:)
its going by SO quickly, you guys!
two. THE most random craving
I haven't had too many wild and crazy cravings this go round with pregnancy. I usually have one or two things I cant get my mind off of when I am pregnant, it was peanut butter toast with the twins and I definitely ate a steak about once a week and absolutely had to have an iced coffee every single day in my pregnancy with Baker.. and this time around?
sweet tarts made their appearance early in my first trimester when I wasn't hardly able to eat much of anything due to nausea, and now in my third trimester I am craving radishes.
radishes?!
I bought them for a recipe I was making and after putting them away in the fridge until it was time to use them I couldn't stop thinking about eating them!
just one! or two!
..I ate the entire bag. and have bought and consumed several bunches since.
I just eat them raw but after posting them on my IG stories (@masseya) I had several people mention delicious ways to prepare them.
salt and vinegar?! YAS. 100% yes. changed my life.
and someone else mentioned roasting the radishes.
that's next on my list.
three. grow them well
we made some time to take head shots of the big girls this week. I've had a few good friends give me advice on presenting them to a local and very large modeling agency in Dallas and after much discussion and prayer about it, Jordan and I decided to pull the trigger. we've been putting it off for almost a year now and the main reason for all this is it would give a giant boost to their college savings fund. we started savings accounts for each of them when they were born, and adding to it more than a couple times a month would be beneficial for all of us! my adult friends that have worked with this agency both mentioned that they were able to pay their way through college with their earnings.
I have no idea where this will go, if it goes anywhere at all, and if they absolutely HATE it we will be done. its not worth the trouble for any of us.
but look at these girls.

four. SPA DAY!
a couple of my besties are sending me to the spa this weekend to celebrate Brady. I am SO excited!apparently this place has multiple rooms and like three restaurants + a juice bar. I'll take a cheeseburger and a green smoothie, please:)

I hope after my day at the spa on Saturday I'll return with plenty of energy and a renewed desire to be the best mom ever to three little ladies waiting for me at home.
